Link Experiment Introduction
I am a Squidooer, a so called Squidoo Giant. I spend alot of time making Squidoo Sites (or lenses). But one of the most difficult things is to get inbound links to my Squidoo lense. So, I am doing a "Link Experiment".

The idea of the link experiement is simple. Build several free websites, using free site builders and link them all together. Then in a few months, I will see if the free websites are bringing me traffic and/or PR.

The advantages:

* The free pages are easy to set it up.
* The free pages offer an easy way to get links
* Obviously everthing is free

At this stage, I am starting with five simple sites. Each one will have some basic content and some links. Little more at this early stage. I want to see if this is working first. If it works, I may develop them further. Maybe later I will add some more serious content and take time to develop each of them. Or maybe i will simply add more websites.

The cool thing about this experiment is that it allows me to test several free website builders on different formats. This is the first time I have build a website using wet paint and so far, I really like it! But what I really want to see is, what it will look like once it is published AND what kind of PR and traffic it develops, if any.

* Wetpaint (My first impression of Wetpaint is that it appears to be amongst the best)

* My Squidoo Blog called Valley Of The Giants. Valley of the Giants is another experiment I am quite proud of. It is a Squidoo blog which will be authored by Squidoo Giants. My plan is to build the blog up and give authorship rights to Giant Squids. The blog is one of the main drivers behind this link experiement. I am looking for innovative ways to bring inbound links to the blog and I thought about this idea as one of the ways to give my blog a link.

* Probably my most important Squidoo lens is about a very unusual product, footed pajamas for adults. I had so much fun creating this lens that I created an entire website devoted to footed pajamas. There are footed pajamas for boys, footed pajamas for girls and footed pajamas for adults.

Footed pajamas are a new trend in the fashion industry. Most people are suprised to find that there are footed pajamas for everyone in the family. However, why not? Footed pajamas are the warmest pajamas around and alot of fun to wear.

Squidoo Shoe Lenses

I have several squidoo lenses about shoes, boots, socks, slippers or other types of footwear. This page will be devoted to all of my shoe lenses.

My most important shoe lens is by far my lens about Ugg Boots. Uggs are a world famous brand of quality shoes. Uggs originally come from Australia, but they are now one of the most popular and fashionable shoes in the USA. Ugg shoes are very comfortable, attractive and warm. But the problem with Uggs is that Uggs are very expensive. So expensive that many companies make quality boots which are less expensive and very attractive. One brand of boot which is similar to Ugg boots but less expensive, is called Bearpaw and another brand of boot is called Emu, There are many people who say that Emu boots are actually better than Uggs. I have also made a lens which discusses several brands of boots, including Emu and Bearpaw, but which include other brands as well. Some call these brands Ugg knockoffs. These Ugg knockoffs, look almost identical to Uggs, but they carrry another brand name.

In addition to the pages about boots, I created a lens about slippers. My slippers lense includes many types of strange shoes, including shoes with lights, shoes which act as dust mops, shoes which have built in massages, etc. All of my shoes and slippers have multiple functions which make them interesting.

Two very unique forms of footwear, include my lens about Vibram FiveFinger Shoes and Toe Socks. Fivefingers Shoes are manufactured by the Vibram Shoe company and one of the most important brand of toe socks is called Injinji. These are very unique because both the Fivefinger Shoes and the toe socks have separate compartments for each toe.

Finally my most recent shoe lens is about Stiletto shoes. Stilettos are a type of shoe with a very long and narrow heel. Stilettos are considered an erotic shoe, an exotic shoe. A very desirable shoe for many, stiletto shoes are also highly controvesial. In some European countries, women compete in stiletto races. Women sprint wearing high heel shoes. The winner can earn up to euro 10'000 (or about $12,500). Not bad for a race that lasts less than 1 minute.
